Depth perception is the ability to perceive the world in three dimensions (3D) and to judge the distance of objects. Your brain achieves it by processing different pictures from each eye and combining them to form a single 3D image. Depth perception allows you to accurately guess the distance between you and something (or someone) else. To have depth perception, you need to have binocular vision, which means you have vision in both of your eyes. Those with monocular vision (vision only in one eye) lack strong eye depth perception. it's easy to take good depth perception for granted. But you can still live a full life even if your depth perception has been impaired in some way. You may benefit from certain treatments or vision therapy, or you may find aids to help you. Distance perception refers to a process in which an observer perceives an interval between two points in space. The interval does not have to be linear, but the perception of a straight-line distance has been extensively studied. #wellnessbyfarah #cabirch #psychologylectures #drjavediqbal =================== What are the 3 aspects of depth perception?
