I scanned my entire backyard using the new Meta Horizon Hyperscape on the Quest 3, and the results are insane! Hyperscape uses AI-powered Gaussian splatting to turn the real world into a detailed holographic 3D environment. Can you tell which one’s real and which is virtual? I recently made a video about how with the use of the new meta horizon hyperscape application for OS 81 on the meta quest 3, you can scan your room using gaussian splatting / photogrammetry, yet its really easy, very efficient, and has amazing results. prior video of indoors =    • Meta hyperscape is hyper insane - lets see...   However, in this version I take the scanning outdoors, and scan my outdoor backyard. How to do it: 1. ensure you are on OS 81 or higher 2. download hyperscape capture app (free) from the meta store 3. follow the in-app instructions to scan your room/yard (takes about 20 minutes to an hour) 4. wait for the processing (takes a few hours) 5. open the hyperscape preview app to enjoy! Would you trust a virtual scan of your home?
