The CGIAR Research Program on Policies, Institutions, and Markets (PIM) led by IFPRI is one of the four CGIAR’s Global Integrating Programs. PIM leads action oriented research to equip decision makers with the evidence required to develop food and agricultural policies that better serve the interests of poor producers and consumers, both men and women. The program combines the resources of all CGIAR centers and numerous international, regional, and national partners. Upon successful completion of its first phase (2012-2016), PIM was approved for continued funding in the second phase of the CGIAR Research Programs (2017-2022). In this video introduction to the 1st PIM Newsletter in 2017, PIM Director Karen Brooks welcomes the PIM community to the new phase and gives an overview of the program.
