Senarmont is a common way to measure Optical Retardation in transparent glass products . Optical Retardation (nm) = rotating angle * 3.14 . Stress value(Mpa) = Optical Retardation /( beam length* photoelastic constant ). (The beam length depends the shape and thickness of the sample.)
