This beautiful Hexagon sewing machine caught my eye at a recent auction so I decided to bid and managed to win the bidding against some stiff competition. You can see the auction video here -    • Auction of Antique and Vintage Sewing...   This Hexagon machine was manufactured for the Hexagon Sewing Machine Company Ltd by Standard Sewing Machine Co., Cleveland, Ohio. The decal in the centre of the bed has the initials HSMC which I later found out stands for Hexagon Sewing Machine Company. In this video I give the machine a general assessment and see if it's in sewing condition. The machine is in reasonable condition although it could do with a clean up. I show how to oil the machine, wind a bobbin, install the bobbin in the shuttle, install the shuttle, top threading and testing. Sometimes the shuttles can be awkward to thread so I show a couple of tips to help with that.
