Love Kills! is the new album from the German symphonic power metal band Induction, released today, February 6, 2026, by Reigning Phoenix Music. It's their third (or fourth, depending on the band's official count) full-length album, and arrives as a natural evolution of the melodic, epic, and highly energetic sound that fans already know from previous works. The album delves deeply into the theme of love in its most intense and contradictory facets: passion that destroys, pain that transforms, emotional resilience, and the idea that "love kills... but never truly dies." Guitarist Tim Kanoa Hansen (ex-Holy Dragons / son of Kai Hansen of Helloween/Gamma Ray) explained that this phrase became the motto and conceptual heart of the album, mixing raw and personal emotion with a message of overcoming and inner strength—even in the darkest days, love (or the capacity to love) always returns as a light in the darkness. Musically, Love Kills! Induction delivers what power metal fans expect, but with greater maturity and confidence: Grand and catchy choruses, perfect for singing along; Melodic and inspired solos; Powerful and versatile vocals by Gabriele Gozzi (highly praised for their range and emotion); Heavy and precise rhythmic foundations (with Markus “Maks” Felber on drums and Dominik Gusch on bass); Symphonic/orchestral layers that create that epic and cinematic atmosphere typical of the style; Clear influences from Helloween, Gamma Ray, Stratovarius, and modern touches that also bring them closer to bands like Majestica. The production is clean, heavy, and modern, highlighting the band's evolution in confidence and cohesion—even after some lineup changes over the years. Initial reviews (from sites like Metal Epidemic, Distorted Sound, and Rockposer) describe the album as melodic, energetic, captivating, and very well-executed, positioning Induction as one of the most promising acts in current symphonic power metal. If you enjoy uplifting power metal with emotive lyrics, huge choruses, and that "heroic but human" vibe, Love Kills! is practically mandatory. It's already available on CD Digipak, vinyl (limited edition green-black marbled), digital, and streaming.
