Anton Baranov plays El Colibri on Sakazo Nakade 1974

This is raw recording of Sagreras' El Colibri made with iPhone 11. I've always felt something special about Japanese guitars. For decade Masaki Sakurai RF model was my main instrument, all major competition wins, GFA tour, debut CD – all was done with that guitar. From time to time the opportuninty comes to play some others, like this one on the vid above made by Sakazo Nakade in 1974. At fall I met So Kimishima who is Kohno-Sakurai successor and I was totally blown away by his guitars (not just replicating Kohno approach, but something different there). A month ago in Singapore I was given a Sumio Kurosawa 1982 to play a recital and totally fell in love with the guitar! After testing various instruments both presenter and myself came to the conclusion that traditional guitar can fill out the hall better than lattice/double-top! Sagreras is not just a 'composer of one piece'. Tons of his music to be rediscoveder and played.
