Now it plans to stop using targeted ads in videos that are aimed at kids. See companies can get a whole lot of information about what products you might like based on websites you've visited, what you've searched, what you've bought and the stuff you've liked or followed. Now, YouTube's reportedly going to stop showing targeted ads on videos that kids are likely to watch. It comes after a big investigation by US authorities over whether YouTube’s broken privacy laws, by collecting data on kids under the age of thirteen. So, while this could be a step towards preventing that, some people would like targeted ads to be banned altogether.
