We are always apprehensive if we can prevent cancer, in reality there are a small number of cancers that are preventable, Cervical Cancer is one of them and it is also one of the most prevalent cancers found in women. The main cause of this type of cancer is HPV infection which is a viral infection but one can protect themselves simply by receiving the HPV vaccine, a female must be at least nine years old to receive this immunisation. If one receives it between the ages of 9 and 14, they will receive two doses; otherwise, they will receive three doses. To avoid this type of cancer and live a healthy life all girls between the ages of 9 and 45 can receive this vaccine.
