The Bukusu community holds dear to its traditions and culture and this is one of those that the community has continued to exercise. The groom goes with a special letter to be read by the bride's parents. Inside the letter are loads of cash meant for sharing between the bride's father and mother. We followed one of those introduction ceremonies and though it was conducted in Bukusu language, it's worth a story to watch.
