Ideal for winter dinners, family meals, daawats, and anyone who enjoys traditional Pakistani flavors with a spicy kick. ✨ Show Name: Tarka 👩🍳 Host: Rida Aftab 📅 On-Air Date: 24 December 2025 📺 Channel: Masala TV A must-watch episode for fans of authentic desi curries and bold masala cooking. 📌 RECIPE CARD Kali Mirch Masala Daal Ingredients: • Split Bengal gram lentils— 1 cup • Split green gram lentils — 1 cup • Red lentils — 1/2 cup • Butter — 100 g • Finely chopped onions — 2 • Ginger-garlic paste — 1 tablespoon • Whole black peppercorns — 1 tablespoon • Cumin seeds — 1 tablespoon • Whole red chilies — 1 tablespoon • Turmeric powder — 1 teaspoon • Salt — 1 teaspoon • Fresh coriander and green chilies — as required • Oil — 4 tablespoons • Onion — 1 Method: First, wash all three lentils thoroughly. Add water and cook them together. Add salt, turmeric, and ginger-garlic paste, and cook until the dals are soft. Mash well once cooked. Heat half of the butter and add a little oil. Add the whole black peppercorns, cumin seeds, and whole red chilies, and fry until aromatic. Transfer this mixture to a blender and grind it. Add the ground spice mixture to the cooked dal and mix well. Add fresh coriander and green chilies, then transfer to a serving dish. Pour the remaining hot butter on top. Kali Mirch Masala Daal is ready to serve. Mirchi Gosht Ingredients: • Boneless beef cubes — 1/2 kg • Large green chilies — 15 • Tomatoes — 1/2 kg • Green cardamom — 4 • Mustard seeds — 1 teaspoon • Curry leaves — 10 • Turmeric powder — 1 teaspoon • Salt — 1 teaspoon • Onion — 1 • Ginger-garlic paste — 1 tablespoon • Fresh coriander — 1 bunch • Oil — 1 cup Method: Boil the beef with the ginger-garlic paste and onion until the meat is tender. Heat the oil in a pan, fry the large green chilies, and remove them from the oil. In the same oil, add curry leaves and mustard seeds. When they become aromatic, add all the spices. Add the cooked beef and sauté for 2 minutes. Once well fried, layer the tomatoes over the meat, then add the green chilies and fresh coriander. Cover and cook on low heat for 15 minutes.
