Day 26 Motorhome Tour - LAGO DI BRAIES, the most popular tourist spot in the dolomites, why? because it is a stunningly beautiful emerald lake framed by the majestic mountains surrounding it. It's hard to think of a more beautiful lake in the world. We stay overnight in Carpark P4, the only one where Campers over 2.5m height can do so. We had a good experience at Lago di Braies but you'll see a lot of negative comments online about the overcrowding, parking costs and parking issues. Our luck was being just outside of high season and arriving just as the previous days campers had left. We didn't realise but there is one fixed 24 hour fee of €35 for campers over 2.5m height. We'd walked around the lake and seen enough within one hour and could have left to make space for another camper had the system been different.
