This set was historic, serving as the end to a massive multi-year long storyline about the Elder Dragon Nicol Bolas and his battle with the Gatewatch. It also had an incredibly unique design, since the set was filled to the brim with Iconic planeswalker’s all across Magic’s history. In this video we go over the game design for the set, how satisfying the story’s end was, and how Magic has changed in the couple of years since its release.
