Green Bullet harmonica mic (Shure 520D) - Vintage Microphone Unboxing and Sound Test Comparison

Let me introduce to you my newest microphone, which is actually a vintage model, that I bought second hand and which isn't currently produced anymore: the famous Shure 520D (also known as the legendary "green bullet"). The first green bullet microphones were produced since 1940 and they were popular for military broadcastings and radio shows. Their small size, which could easily fit in a hand, made it become popular among the harmonica players, who could use to get that famous "dirty" electrc harmonica sound. The model name and some specifications have changed during the years. The Shure 520D was made between 1980 and 1986 and it was a dual impedance (high and low) controlled magnetic microphone. This model is now replaced by the Shure 520DX, which is a dynamic microphone that doesn't feature a hole to screw it on a microphone stand, but it has a volume control knob instead in that place. I found an offer on a second hand products' website and I wanted to give it a try, as I'm a lover of vintage equipment and I'm always looking for some old school sounds. I was especially curious about its sound on vocals, because I thought it could be provide an interesting vintage "old radio" sound. And the, of course, it would sound great on harmonica. The microphone is very worn and it shows its age and use, but it's solid and still working. After unboxing the Shure 520D, which was sent in its damaged original box, I made some little tests to check its sound on the harmonica and on the vocals, making comparisons with my limited edition Shure 5575LE microphone and my standard Shure SM58 microphone.
