DDRMAX- Dance Dance Revolution(US PS2) Song List

Release Date: October 29, 2002 And now we're getting to the games that I've actually played and grown up with. So this is the first PS2 USA DDR game, and it's certainly an interesting one at that. Already compared to the JP counterpart, this one has foot ratings for songs again, and has a much larger song list. Since it contains the six main MAX songs that are currently in the arcade, almost all the new home version songs that show up in EXTREME, and a few licenses from the arcade release, this might be one of the few times you can say that the US port of a DDR mix is better than the JP version. I think my only real complaint with this game is also a compliment: I think the song list is just...a bit random? I don't really know how to describe it. On one hand, there's a ton variety in what's here, but at the same time, it feels like there's a lack of cohesion. Granted, this was the region's third DDR mix, but still. Honestly, not even sure if what I'm saying makes sense lol
