2020 Lexus Accelerators: Storytelling To Help the Orphan Crisis | Lexus

2020 Lexus Accelerators - Whitney Runyon believes in the power of storytelling to make the world a better place. Traveling the world with her husband, Nick Runyon, Whitney has devoted her life to shining a light on the stories of orphaned children in need of a helping hand to survive and flourish. It wasn’t always this way. Whitney was working as a wedding photographer when she decided to travel to Bulgaria and take pictures for a friend who was adopting a 7-year-old boy with Down syndrome. The boy’s name was Archibald, and the experience she documented forever changed the course of Whitney’s life. To help the estimated 140 million orphans worldwide, the couple created a non-profit named in the boys’ honor, called The Archibald Project [https://www.thearchibaldproject.com/].
