Your eyes are not deceiving you... yes, this video is 7 hours long. Seven hours of repotting over 500 Astrophytum cactus seedlings grown in the Cactus Seed Soil Battle series. There are two age groups of seedlings: 1 year old seedlings (Tray 1) and 10.5 month old seedlings (Tray 2). This video is filled with twists and turns, including the moment I realize the mistake I made in the soil labels a year ago, Q&A, Cookie's Cacti's origin story, endless rambling, and more! To make things more interesting, I'm holding a video scavenger hunt where I have a list of questions where the answers can be found scattered throughout the video. The first three individuals who find the correct answers to all the questions win a prize. What is the prize? The video was shot over a period of 7 days including the repotting, the intro, and the outro. The resulting video file is 84.69Gb and it took over 24 hours to upload and complete processing and checks to publish to YouTube. I had to purchase an external hard drive because my laptop ran out of disk space. This was the most challenging video I have ever made sheerly due to the size and time required to complete the project. The silver lining is that hour long videos are now a piece of cake in comparison? I guess I've properly lost my mind.
