GET OUT YOUR COMFORT ZONE! | That time we agreed to ‘housesit’ a permaculture farm

Personal growth pundits are always telling us to, “Get out your comfort zone!” Turns out there’s a very good reason for that. According to Phil Stutz and Barry Michels, co-authors of The Tools, our infinite potential exists just on the other side of our comfort zone. In 2017 we accepted an offer to take care of an off-grid permaculture farm for a month. This was followed by a four-month stint in a small town taking care of three gorgeous hounds while their human worked abroad. 🐕 🐩 🐕‍🦺 All of this was way outside the comfort zone of the citylife we were used to. After hemming and hawing for days, we eventually arrived at the conclusion that it was a ‘too good to turn down’ opportunity and agreed to do it. We might not have reached our infinite potential, but we certainly learnt that we are capable of so much more than we give ourselves credit for. Plus, it was a huge amount of fun.
