A court in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi will continue hearing the Gyanvapi mosque survey issue today. The Varanasi district court ordered a survey at Gyanvapi Masjid, adjacent to the Kashi Vishwanath Mandir in Varanasi, after Delhi-based women Rakhi Singh, Laxmi Devi, Sita Sahu and others filed a plea seeking permission to worship Hindu deities whose idols are located on the outer wall of the mosque. Meanwhile, a petition has been filed in the Allahabad High Court, seeking a fact-finding inquiry into the "history" of the Taj Mahal, and also opening of the doors of its "22 rooms" to see "the truth, whatever it is".
