The tragic and mysterious death of George Reeves, who played Superman in the TV show Adventures of Superman, is still a mystery in Hollywood more than 60 years later. He became a household name when he got the lead role of the very popular superhero with a cape in the popular series in 1951. It was the first, and one of the best superhero TV shows, and Reeves finally got the attention and fame he had so badly wanted on the big screen. Reeves was a hero and inspiration to kids all over the country. Even though he was very popular, the actor was unhappy with his career and wanted to play bigger roles in movies. On June 16, 1959, he was found dead in his bedroom from a headshot wound, putting an end to his efforts to become a respected and admired leading man. Reeves was only 45 years old when he died mysteriously. The events leading up to his untimely death sent his friends and the media into a spiral of depression. Even though the LAPD said he killed himself, we still don't know much about what happened that fateful June night. Several of the actor's close friends and family members thought he couldn't have killed himself. Their doubts weren't just based on grief and denial; the evidence was also strange. From one angle, the details make it clear that a man made a terrible choice when upset, like an optical illusion.
