On October 22, 2015, retired NYPD Sergeant Joseph Giacalone and former Commanding Officer of the Bronx Cold Case Squad, spoke with reporter Alex Zdan of Chasing News, Channel 9, New Jersey about the 1982 cold case of Gail Mark. Joe adds his expertise from his experience in investigating cold cases: triumphs and tribulations. On December 30, 1982, in an apartment on E 28th Street, NYC, Gail Mark was strangled and repeatedly stabbed by an unknown attacker while wearing her daughter's E.T. Halloween mask. Gail's daughter, Dawn, was locked in the bathroom and unharmed.
