In June 2025 LAPG launched PAMELA, the Peri-menopause and Menopause Legal Aid lawyers support network, at an inaugural event with Kate Muir, kindly hosted by Hodge Jones & Allen. Watch now to view contributions from Dr Laura Janes, Kate Muir and Farhana Shahzady. The room was packed with amazing legal aid lawyers and advice workers, all keen to share experiences and find out more about peri-menopause and the menopause. Kate gave a fantastic presentation covering pretty much everything you need to know about the menopause, from understanding how our hormones change over time, to menopause and mental health. Laura shared her own experiences of grappling with the day-to-day impact on her busy legal and teaching practices. Farhana, who features in Kate‘s new book (How to have a magnificent midlife crisis) explained her money-pause project, a trailblazing and innovative approach to financial remedies in divorce for menopausal women.
