O people, rise up, get ready, your light has come. So long we’ve been waiting for the holy day, now the Lord is coming, so prepare the way. Rise up, come on and get ready. O people, rise up, for He shall be called the Lord of lords and His kingdom’s power will last forevermore. Hear the prophet calling in the desert land, “The Kingdom of God is now at hand.” So lift up your eyes and see the sign, your light is coming now, rise and shine. Let’s go up to the mountain with a mighty shout and lift our voices to sing it loud, for the glory of God all the world will see, and it will last for eternity. People, rise up!
