This week we are traveling on another one of the main arterial roads through the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, Rand Rd (part of US Route 12). This road begins right at the tie-in point of this road's northwestern competitor Northwest Hwy (US Route 14) and Dempster St on the west side of I-294 in Des Plaines, IL. Similar to Northwest Hwy, this road starts urban but gets progressively more rural as we get closer to and eventually enter Wisconsin in Genoa City. Enjoy the ride!
