DEUCE is a comic retelling of the Scottish play, set in a corporate coffee shop. We’re serving up a highly-caffeinated musical reading of this work-in-progress. Deuce is a hapless busboy at a flailing Moonshot coffee shop where he works with his BFF, Cat. Their friendship is based on their mutual hatred of lead barista, Chad. After a prediction from some café regulars, Deuce is catapulted into the role of Lead Barista, where under the crackerjack direction of boss, Boyd, Deuce becomes an almost-average employee. Marjory, Deuce’s obsession, stokes his ambition, and he decides to rise in the ranks.
