Thanks to Matchstick Productions and Headwater Collectives and everybody else Involved in this great event! Intersection was an event that pushed five crews of artist snow sport visionaries to their limits as they challenged themselves to shoot, edit, and submit a four-to-six minute winter action sports short film within 12 days. These films were judged by an esteemed panel of judges including Jeff Schmuck, Editor of Forecast Ski Magazine; Chris Rasman, professional snowboarder; Alex Armstrong, professional big mountain skier; Jody Wachniak, host of Airtime Podcast and professional snowboarder; and Mark Sollors, professional snowboarder, while the People’s Choice Award was voted on by attendees at the event. In addition to three multimedia events, the World Ski & Snowboard Festival also has a diverse lineup of musical acts and sporting events including The Saudan Couloir Race Extreme, presented by Helly Hansen, and The Slush Cup, presented by Corona Tropical, taking place this weekend, on April 15th and 16th respectively. Born out of a love for all that is mountain culture, the World Ski & Snowboard Festival has been the ultimate après of the winter season since 1996. During this annual celebration of snow sports, music, arts, and culture, the event will showcase Whistler’s reputation as a mecca for mountain culture.
