In this Vlog style video. I explore the city of Montreal with Angie; a super flexible girl who has a promission career as a circus artist. I also answer the question: Why do flexible people attract the eye so much? Why is it that a pose in flex is so darned cool. I couldn't ask for a better candidate than Angie. Not only is she flexible but really a fantastic model in every way. I had seen many of Angie's photos online and was amazed at her extreme and effortless flexibility. Although many people are flexible in the circus world. Getting across the message that it is easy and smooth is a skill reserved to few and far between. So I simply got in touch with her via Facebook and as simple as that, we started to try to book a photo shoot together. We had a couple of problems but, all in all, it went very well. Why are flexible people so attractive? There is one desire I have always had in taking photos. For the longest time, I have been attracted to photos of flexible people. I, for the longest time, thought that this was a personal particularity. I was soon to find out through Instagram, Facebook, and other social media post likes, that, in general, consciously or subconsciously, it is something that most people are attracted to. This got me to thinking as to the why of all of this. So why is a photo of someone in extreme flex so strong? I truly believe that a flexible pose has always been a pose of power. Through the body's position, it communicates a power of the environment around us. Telling the viewer that even this body (which most people can feel they are imprisoned in) can be conquered. A bodily pose, in photography, always seems to communicate a mental state as well. So it is as simple as this. Physical flexibility also communicates mental flexibility.
