On this step the editing of the NPL.TXT file is necessary to re enter the correct system number, because the license key generation fails retrieving an incorrect authorization file from SAP website. 4. Verify if the edited SAP license with Wordpad or Notepad was validated by the system running again the "saplikey" command 5. From Windows OS run the SAP GUI client to log into the VirtualBox SAP R3 system NPL database using the DDIC, *SAP or DEVELOPER accounts. The system should not return an error message on the SAP licenses. I am sharing the workaround and fixes that were implemented on the installation of SAP NetWeaver 7.52 as ABAP under Ubuntu 20.04 and Oracle VirtualBox 6.1 -- Unfortunately the SAP system files and installation scripts are not updated for newer OS versions being one of the reasons about the crash errors of the installation process.
