Brazil prepared well for the 2016 Olympic Games, to welcome athletes from all over the world. However, the favela residents were, as usual, forgotten. A Barber Shop Brazil is about the current state of the favelas and the fear of the common man, not of drug dealers, but of the police. This is not a film about corruption, but about the lives of ordinary teenagers in the capital of Brazil. The story takes place on the outskirts of Rio, in the Jacarezinho Favela. Barber Pedro rents out the chairs in his barber shop to teenagers, but only if they stop getting involved with drugs and crime. Not only eager to learn a profession, the teenagers at Salao Faria have even developed a very specific haircut: the Jaca Haircut.
