The “Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari” initiative is a reflection of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s unwavering resolve to make water conservation a national priority. The initiative emphasizes the importance of Jan Bhagidari in water conservation & embodies a pledge for united action from all stakeholders with the aim to have a special focus on the construction of artificial recharge structures/borewell recharge shafts, among other activities, which will increase storage capacity & help to augment groundwater recharge. As water scarcity and management become prominent issues, this webinar will focus on the role of innovative and sustainable initiatives by district administrators in mitigating water crises, particularly in drought-prone and flood-affected regions of India. The discussion will also highlight the need for community participation in sustainable water management.
