Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time Longplay

Longplay of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time for the Nintendo DS. There isn’t really any criteria for 100% here – it’s a linear game with very little, if any, side quests or optional stuff (except maybe Fawful’s Bean ‘n’ Badge shop, which isn’t very “secret” to begin with). With that said, I did try and get all of the question blocks and all that good stuff. However I decided not to go for all of the (X) Beans. That’s what I did on my Superstar Saga playthrough, and with that project I had to backtrack to every area when I first got the ability to dig underground, which took up a ton of time, and by the end of the game I had too many Chuckle Beans anyway. This was recorded on an emulator (DeSmuME) with a USB controller, in six separate recording sessions. I did not cut out any battles; they have all been included in the video. Regarding my personal thoughts on the game: The dialogue and humour isn’t quite on par with Superstar Saga, and can be quite predictable at times, but it’s still pretty good. Like I said, the game is very linear, so if you loved the fully explorable overworld from Superstar Saga like I did, then you’ll be sorely disappointed. On the positive side though, I really like the puzzles, and the soundtrack is great. Because the DS has more buttons, the battle system is a bit more complex and engaging than Superstar Saga’s, leading it to be one of PiT’s best aspects in my opinion.
