I took a summer day trip to Kamakura, one of Japan’s most famous seaside towns near Tokyo! I started at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, the symbol of Kamakura, and then visited Maruyama Inari Shrine, which felt just like a scene from a Ghibli movie. At Hataage Benzaiten Shrine, I enjoyed the beauty of blooming lotus flowers before strolling along the lively Komachi Street. Next, I hopped on the popular Enoden train to Hase and visited the Great Buddha of Kamakura. For lunch, I had a delicious fried fish set meal — perfect local comfort food! To finish the trip, I relaxed at Yuigahama Beach, a popular summer spot for swimming, and enjoyed stunning coastal views from Inamuragasaki Park. Even though Mt. Fuji was hidden by clouds, the scenery was still breathtaking. If you’re looking for a seaside day trip from Tokyo, beautiful shrines, local food, or the iconic Enoden train experience, this Kamakura vlog is perfect for you!
