Let's-a-go. Today we are playing Super Mario Bros. 3. This game debuted the overworld map for mario games and is way bigger than anything before it. This also means the game feels easier to split up in a lot of smaller parts. So in this video we are taking on the first world, Ice Land. This game is an amazing bit of gaming history, being the last of the mainline mario games for the NES. After this games got even better with new hardware to boot. But this era is still special. This was the time developers knew the NES hardware inside and out and was able to push it to the absolute limit. I guess that's why the screen flickers on the sides sometimes.
