Francesca Orsini — a globally respected Hindi scholar, researcher, and professor — was deported from India despite holding a valid visa. She has spent decades studying and promoting Hindi literature across the world, helping bridge cultural understanding between India and the West. In this video, Vijender Chauhan speaks with deep regret and introspection about how this incident reflects our collective apathy toward Hindi, our teachers, and those who dedicate their lives to Indian languages and culture. Why was a scholar who celebrated Hindi turned away? Why do we, as a society, undervalue those who protect and preserve our linguistic heritage? And what does this say about the state of academic freedom and respect in today’s India? Watch till the end to reflect — not on politics, but on what it means to truly honor knowledge, culture, and humility. About Dr Vijender: Dr Vijender Chauhan is an educator, UPSC Interviewer and Motivational speaker with an experience of over a decade. He is one of the most recognised faces among the UPSC aspirants.
