A special evening of readings, discussion and performance to celebrate the late renowned modern Israeli poet Yehuda Amichai (1924–2000) upon publication of his new collection, The Poetry of Yehuda Amichai, edited by Robert Alter, which includes new translations and works published in English for the first time. Alter is joined by two of Amichai’s chief translators, Chana Bloch and Chana Kronfeld, and his wife, Hana Amichai. With video and dance performances by the poet’s daughter, Emanuella Amichai.
