Battle over safe-injection sites in southern Alberta heads to court | APTN News

In southern Alberta, the opioid crisis is getting worse. Most of it is being driven by the deaths of members of the Blood Tribe, south of Calgary. There have been 194 deaths since the coronavirus pandemic started – nearly all of them off reserve. That’s why two non-profit organizations want to operate a safe injection site despite resistance from the Kenney government.
