Heartbreak due to romantic love failure is rampant within the church. Ignoring the problem or drawing over-simplistic or generalized conclusions about the issue like - This is not a serious problem; There shouldn't be heartbreaks among Christ worshippers; It is the result of committing sin and so on, is not the solution to the problem. Keeping such stances aren't going to prevent heartbreaks from happening in the future as well. The best thing would have been for Adam and Eve to not eat the fruit at all! But they did and therefore human history. God came in His mercy and dealt with sinful humanity. He didn't pass verdict from heaven and let humankind perish but He came down and suffered the consequences of sin along with sinful people. Also, human pain is a very complex issue. We cannot see the details and layers of the suffering simply by external observation. We need to zoom in and understand the situation well to be able to offer help. We believe that a church should become such community, where people can come and pour out their hearts without the fear of being judged and condemned, instead of living in the pressure of pretending to be okay.
