Day 7 of our Isan & Northern Thailand road trip takes us deep into Thailand’s ancient past. After checking out of our villa, we drive to Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park, one of Thailand’s most underrated UNESCO-listed sites, where I walk the grounds and narrate the history, layout, and atmosphere of this remarkable ancient city. We explore temples, stone walls, chedis, and forest-covered ruins while walking through the park, sharing observations and context along the way. Kamphaeng Phet is often overlooked compared to Sukhothai—but its quiet, expansive grounds make it one of the most atmospheric historical parks in Thailand. To end the day, we continue the drive north to Sukhothai, where we check in to a peaceful local homestay—Mali Thai House—and settle in for the evening. A perfect contrast between ancient history and everyday Thai life. This video is part of our multi-day journey through Isan and Northern Thailand, covering historic sites, countryside drives, local stays, and lesser-known destinations. 👉 If you enjoy slow travel, narrated walking tours, and real Thailand beyond the tourist trail, consider subscribing. 00:00 Day 7 Begins – La Kana Boutique Villas 02:26 The Tiniest Car on the Road 03:18 Arrival at Kamphaeng Phet 03:52 Temples, Walls & Stonework 10:52 Ancient Structures of Kamphaeng Phet 17:54 Another Temple and More Sites 27:44 Amazing Buddhas 30:22 Driving to Sukhothai 32:58 Checking in at Mali Thai House #thailandtravel #NorthernThailand #Sukhothai #ThailandRoadTrip #HistoricalPark #UNESCOSites #ThailandHistory #SlowTravel #TravelVlog #WalkingTour #HiddenThailand #BackpackBenji
