I was trying to get the best possible tone from the budget friendly gear and here's the result. Obviously this is not a studio grade tone, but for someone starting or wanting to play surf styles these are pretty decent options. For recording I think it's better option to record directly into the sound card as I feel here the weakest piece of the gear in the video is the amp, but it's pretty good option for the band practice and I even played small gigs with it. The highs are pretty harsh when turned up. Please note that the volume was very high in the room. Here's detailed video of the pedal where I used the same Jazzmaster and recorded it directly to the console: • Does EHX Oceans 11 drip? (Different Spring... Let me know what you think! Gear: Guitar: Squier Vintage Modified Jazzmaster (not sure about the US prices, but they go for about 280-300 EUR used here in Europe, been my go-to guitar for about 2 years now. Sounds good and stays in tune pretty well) Pedal: EHX Oceans 11 (about 120 EUR used in Europe) Amp: Fender Mustang 1 V2 (used ones are really cheap here, less than 100 EUR, I've used this perticular for about 8 years now) Sorry for the mic being all over the place as I had problems with the stand.
