Mercedes w123 front door handle rekey

As part of the 123 restoration, I wanted one key to operate the ignition, door handles, tailgate, and glovebox. The front handles was the last set of locks I had to 're-key' or 're-program'. I purchased a front left and front right door handle from the MB classic centre. Note the front handles are not the same, there is a left, and there is a right! By removing the locks, you are able to reset the ten 'leaves' to fit an MB key. If you know the order of the leaves its easy, if you don't, its still possible and takes about an hour for that lock, and then only minutes to copy it for the second lock! Note there appears to be two types of lock barrels for front handles, and probably unknown to the classic centre, the left handle lock was a different type to the right side! To 're-'key' a lock, its probably ideal to have one or two handles spare are you might not have enough 'leaves'. I hope the video is of help, and I am now enjoying 5 fully 'sync'ed' locks!
