Be a Part Of My Journeys Instagram : shekhar_exploringjourneys ------------------------------------------------- For Business / Collaborations Email : shekharwakure@gmail.com पुणे के सिंहगड इलाके में स्थित नीलकंठेश्वर शिव मंदिर पंचक्रोशी में प्रसिद्ध है। इस मंदिर से जुड़ी कई धार्मिक कथाएँ हैं और इसका इतिहास भी बहुत रोचक है। पुणे शहर और जिले में कई धार्मिक स्थल हैं। सुंदर प्राकृतिक वातावरण में स्थित होने के बावजूद, कई मंदिर लोगों को ज्यादा ज्ञात नहीं हैं। ऐसा ही एक मंदिर सिंहगड के पास डावजे गांव में स्थित है, जिसे स्वयंभू नीलकंठेश्वर मंदिर कहा जाता है। इस मंदिर की स्थापना 1962 में की गई थी। मंदिर पहाड़ पर स्थित है, इसलिए भक्तों को 2 से 3 किलोमीटर पैदल चढ़ाई करके जाना पड़ता है। फिर भी यहाँ श्रद्धालुओं की अच्छी खासी भीड़ रहती है। बताया जाता है कि वनरक्षक और शिव भक्त शंकरराव सर्जे उर्फ सर्जेमामा इस मंदिर के मुख्य ट्रस्टी थे। वर्ष 1962 में, जब वे नीलकंठेश्वर पहाड़ी के जंगल में वनरक्षक के रूप में काम कर रहे थे, तब भगवान शिव उन्हें स्वप्न में दिखाई दिए। भगवान शिव ने कहा कि मैं और मेरा नंदी इस पहाड़ पर एक खास जगह जमीन के नीचे दबे हुए हैं, मुझे बाहर निकालो। इसके बाद सर्जेमामा ने बताए गए स्थान पर खुदाई करवाई। वहाँ उन्हें नंदी और भगवान शिव का शिवलिंग मिला। उन्होंने उसे बाहर निकालकर विधि-विधान से प्राण-प्रतिष्ठा की। इसी कारण इस मंदिर को स्वयंभू नीलकंठेश्वर कहा जाता है, ऐसा मंदिर के सेवेकरी दिनकर शिंदे ने बताया। सर्जेमामा ने समाज के लिए कई अच्छे काम भी किए। उन्होंने यहाँ शराब मुक्ति अभियान चलाया, जिसके माध्यम से लगभग 2 लाख 56 हजार लोगों को शराब की लत से मुक्त किया गया, यह जानकारी मंदिर के सेवेकरी शिंदे ने दी। आज नीलकंठेश्वर मंदिर के दर्शन के लिए बड़ी संख्या में शिव भक्त आते हैं। मंदिर पहाड़ पर होने के कारण लोगों को 2 से 3 किलोमीटर चढ़ाई करनी पड़ती है, लेकिन यहाँ का वातावरण बहुत ही शांत और प्राकृतिक सुंदरता से भरपूर है। इस पहाड़ी से पानशेत और खड़कवासला बांध का सुंदर दृश्य भी दिखाई देता है। यह मंदिर सिंहगड रोड पर स्थित डावजे गांव में है। The Nilkantheshwar Shiva Temple is located near Sinhagad in Pune and is famous in the Panchkroshi area. Even though many temples are surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, some of them are not well known. One such temple is the Swayambhu Nilkantheshwar Temple, located in Davje village near Sinhagad. This temple was established in 1962. Since the temple is on a hill, devotees have to walk uphill for about 2 to 3 kilometers to reach it. Even so, a large number of devotees visit the temple. It is believed that a forest guard and Shiva devotee, Shankarrao Sarje, also known as Sarjemama, was the main trustee of the temple. In 1962, while he was working as a forest guard in the Nilkantheshwar hill forest, Lord Shiva appeared to him in a dream. Lord Shiva told him that He and His Nandi were buried underground at a special place on the hill and asked him to bring them out. After this, Sarjemama arranged for digging at the place shown in the dream. There, a Nandi idol and a Shiva Lingam were found. He took them out and performed proper religious rituals to install them. Because of this, the temple is called Swayambhu (self-manifested) Nilkantheshwar Temple, according to temple caretaker Dinkar Shinde. Sarjemama also did many good works for society. He started an alcohol de-addiction campaign here, through which about 2,56,000 people were freed from alcohol addiction, as shared by caretaker Shinde. Today, a large number of Shiva devotees visit the Nilkantheshwar Temple. Although devotees have to climb 2 to 3 kilometers to reach the temple, the atmosphere is very peaceful and full of natural beauty. From this hill, visitors can see beautiful views of the Panshet and Khadakwasla dams.
