Our food critics review the two kinds of school lunches served in San Francisco Unified School District cafeterias: There are the pre-packaged, heat-up-able meals from Revolution foods, with their plastic film-topped trays. And then there are the Refresh meals, which are freshly assembled on site. A bond on the November ballot would put money toward building more assembly kitchens in schools as well as a central kitchen, where school meals would be made from scratch.
