Mixed videos from Hungary. The first part of the video is about Hungarian people and their horses. The Hungarians are known as nation on horse or the horse people. The video takes the viewer to Mezohegyes where at the government decided to own their own horse farm (menes) breed their own horse (Nonius). The Nonius breed was established in the early 19th century at the Mezőhegyes State Stud in Hungary. Its foundation was a result of crossing local mares with Western European stallions, particularly the Norman stallion Nonius Senior, from whom the breed takes its name. The government took full ownership over the stud in 2017. We visited the museum village in Opusztaszer. Unfortunately the main attraction watering the girls (locsolkodas) was cancelled, due to the bad weather. However as soon they cancelled the event, the weather changed and it turned to be a pretty nice Easter's Monday. But there was some show, like Hungarian csardas, kurtos kalacs baking (chimney or tunnel cake) ans some more Easter tradition.
