Trimming a horse that doesn't want to be trimmed

Gentle techniques to trim a horse that DOES NOT want to have their hooves trimmed. This horse will not allow me to tuck his front hoof between my knees in the typical manner. In this video I tried (unsuccessfully) to show a rope technique that allows me to trim his hoof without tucking it, and allows me to use both hands. That technique will have to wait for another video--not only did it not work for him, but I think it triggered his fear response even worse.
