This is the exact location where the Pledge of Aqabah (Bay‘at-e-Aqabah) took place between Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the people of Madinah (Ansar). During the Hajj season, a small group from Yathrib met the Prophet ﷺ here and accepted Islam. The following year, a larger group returned and pledged to protect the Prophet ﷺ and support Islam. This historic pledge later led to the Hijrah (migration) to Madinah, which became a turning point in Islamic history.
