A breastfeeding tutorial from Jen at LifeWithLevi.com on how to pump while driving using a PumpEase hands-free pumping bra. Part One: Putting on your PumpEase so you're ready to pump while driving. As a college student, I simply didn't have enough time to stop and pump between work and class. Thanks to an electronic breast pump (Medela) with a car adapter, I was able to successfully pump milk for my son during the rush-hour commute to school. A cooler with freezer packs ensured it stayed fresh until I got home from my evening classes. ----- Backstory: Shortly after my son was born, I had to have surgery on my right breast. While recovering, it was impossible to nurse him the traditional way, but I didn't want to give up breastfeeding altogether. Instead, I turned to exclusive pumping. If you've never pumped before, let me tell you, it's a lot of work. To maintain my breast milk supply, I kept the same pumping schedule as his feeding schedule, including getting up in the middle of the night, pumping during breaks at work, and pumping between the college classes I was taking at night. Once I learned about the magic of a hands-free pumping bra, I decided to have some fun with it and see how many "normal" activities I could do while still pumping. Yes, the setup takes time, but it was nice to not have to stop and drop everything multiple times a day to pump. View the playlist for all of my "pumping while" videos: https://bit.ly/pumping-playlist
