Shy of a year into his second term, President Donald Trump detailed in a newly-released national security memo how he wants to change America's relationships and responsibilities in every region of the globe. Trump's top priority is connected to his months of strikes on alleged drug boats, which he said will soon transition to land strikes. "After years of neglect, the United States will reassert and enforce the Monroe Doctrine to restore American preeminence in the Western Hemisphere, and to protect our homeland and our access to key geographies throughout the region," the memo stated.
