When the current owners of this outstanding waterfront estate designed this complex they wanted something very relaxed and special that was blended with the natural surroundings. The main house with its Balinese influence was strategically positioned on the stunning beachfront site between two ancient Pohutakawa trees. The home looks across the large, flat, manicured lawns and out to the mouth of picturesque Paroa Bay to some of the most beautiful islands the area has to offer. With island-style roof lines and the use of natural materials, when viewed from the sea it nestles naturally into the native vegetation that surrounds it. With open-plan living and a large designer kitchen, the inside of this home is functional and stylish. Living areas spill out to large decking which then lead out to the lawn and the beachfront; perfect for entertaining no matter the weather. The master suite is your sanctuary from the rest of the home and also has a spacious en-suite while the other two double bedrooms are serviced by a shared bathroom. Tucked into the hill behind the large beachfront grounds is the all-weather, flood-lit tennis court. Plenty of thought went into planning and designing this, there is even a very well-formed underground storage and workshop facility which sits in under the court and houses all the toys including boats and gardening equipment. This again is hidden away from view allowing the property to remain as green and unspoiled as possible. Further along the beach, on its own separate title, and adjacent to the driveway access is a managers house or guest accommodation which also has outstanding views across the bay. Here there is a private concrete boat ramp out front for easy access to all the water sports and recreational fishing the Bay of Islands has on offer. This cottage was also built using natural timbers and is multi functional. It has two double bedrooms upstairs and the large room downstairs with bunks and beds. There is plenty of scope here for future development for the new owners. The balance of the 17 hectare (42 acre) property is mainly in native bush, delivering seclusion and privacy from the outside world. Just a short drive by car or around the bays by boat you have the quaint seaside village of Russell; rich in history and giving entertainment and dining options for friends and family to enjoy. This offering is truly one of the very best we have seen; if it's a pure New Zealand waterfront hideaway you are looking for you should seriously consider viewing this property.
