Weird Ebay Puzzles: IQ Ball, Orb It and Solve-A-Ball

As promised in my last video, here are some unusual puzzles I picked up from Ebay recently. One of them is a classic puzzle from the early eighties -- the Orb-It -- and the others are more recent creations. If you're interested in trying hybrid puzzles that combine twistiness with other types of puzzles, I can recommend these guys. The IQ Ball is a nice update of the Butterfly puzzle from Clover Toys, with the added layer on the back and twisty element in the centre. The Solve-A-Ball adds in sliding-puzzle aspects, which should be pretty challenging, and the sliding pieces have orientation, which sets it apart from the other two puzzles. Finally, the Orb-It is a pretty chunky and satisfying puzzle to turn, and it has a bit of a whiff of Astrolabacus about it, which is always a good thing! The Solve-A-Ball occasionally turns up on Ebay UK, usually in the £8-10 range. The Orb-It is super old and therefore only available used, obviously, but it seems pretty widely available on Ebay as well. Give them a try, hybrid puzzles are fun!
