Boy, I sure had HARD TIMES transcribing these percussion parts. Composer: Brad Buxer Download this transcription: https://drive.google.com/drive/folder... ABOUT THIS TRANSCRIPTION: -PSG 1 acts as an echo to PSG 0 and Channel 1 during the "chorus." -If you know this track, you know there are quite a few samples in it. Finale is ill-equipped to deal with them. As such, there are several oddities regarding percussion: 1) PSG 0 and PSG 1, when not playing the melody, act as some sort of ostinato that sounds reminiscent of a clave. PSG 1 is actually supposed to be a few cents flatter than PSG 0, but there is no way of doing this in Finale (that I know of). 2) Channel 2 uses two odd SFX when not playing a harmony part. I was successful in emulating the first sound (hence the weird descending 128th notes), but the second sound just wasn't feasible. Therefore, the red notes in PSG 3 indicate this sound/rhythm, since Finale won't let you have melodic sounds and percussive sounds in the same measure without some weird settings. 3) The DAC was actually not too difficult to notate, but I can't get the samples to sound in Finale without a soundfont. The green notes that sound like toms are indicative of these samples. ERRATA: -PSG 1 should actually be a quarter note off from PSG 0 during the melody part, not an eighth note. -I completely forgot to assign a dynamic marking to PSG 3. #vgm #sheetmusic #sonic3andknuckles #icecap
